Happy New Year! We're back open and orders are heading out. We wish you the best for a fossily 2022!
A group of “green ammonite nodules”, named after the colour of the calcite they contain. Many small specimens like these are cut and polished rather than prepared.
Top, Oistoceras or Androgynoceras (probably former) exposed on one edge. The ammonite is 40-50mm diameter. Left an Oistoceras or Androgynoceras of 30-40mm. This block also has what appears to be a partial Tragophylloceras ammonite on the same edge Bottom right a nice Tragophylloceras loscombei of about 60mm, being a smooth ammonite this should prepare well. Bottom an Oistoceras or Androgynoceras of 30mm, filling one end of the rock.
Advanced Difficulty - the best results are achieved with air abrasives.
